1940 Sandra 2015

Sandra Lee (Wieland) Myers

June 11, 1940 — October 10, 2015

Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away October 10, 2015. Sandra Lee Myers was born June 11, 1940 to John Wieland and Adeline Spanbauer Wieland, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Sandy lived in Oshkosh, Wisconsin until the start of WWII. While her father served in the Navy, she moved with her mother and extended family to Anderson, California. The family then moved to Southern California where she met the love of her life William Sydney Myers. They married June 16, 1956. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple August 25, 1978. They were blessed with five children, Cindy (Kyle Roylance), Nancy (Ed Gafner), William Jr., Robert (Janice), and David (Amy).

Sandy and Bill moved to Littleton, Colorado. After their youngest graduated from HS they moved to Hawaii where they lived in paradise. In 1987 they moved to Springville, Utah.

Sandy worked as a unit secretary at IHC, with a group of women she remained close to until her death. She was an artist, crafter, and loved to play games with family. She loved practical jokes and had a great sense of humor. She loved animals and will be terribly missed by her dog "T" who has been found waiting on her porch for her to return home.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, who died in 1995. She will be greatly missed by her 5 children, their spouses, her 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to gather at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 1 p.m. for Graveside Services.
