Kenneth E Lowe

February 15, 1925 — July 6, 2015

Kenneth E. Lowe of Springville, UT, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the age of 90.  He was born, February 15, 1925 in Springville to Glen Richard and Vila Underwood Lowe. He spent his entire life in Springville.  He served in the US Navy in WWII. After returning from overseas service he married the love of his life, Ruth Shepherd on November 18, 1946 in Springville. They were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. Together they raised 4 children.
Ken worked for Geneva Steel for 36 years in the rolling mill as a roller. He also worked with the Springville City Police Department as an auxiliary officer for 13 years. After retiring he and his wife spent many falls and winters being “snowbirds”.  Together they served missions at the Provo Tabernacle and the Spanish Fork Bishop’s Storehouse.
Ken was a loving husband, father and a great provider.  He loved spending time with his family in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Ron (Susan); 2 daughters: Gloria (Ron) Hatfield and Susan (Zale) Vacher; 26 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, 1 sister, Joyce and sister-in-law Dorothy. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, 2 brothers; a daughter, Kathy and 3 grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Encompass Hospice for their loving care of Dad in his last days.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Springville 2nd Ward, 1785 E 400 S, Springville. Viewings will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery with Military Rites by the American Legion.
