Ruby Sandberg Wiseman, age 85, slipped away February 27, 2014 in Provo, Utah. Ruby was born in Sacramento, California on December 4, 1928 to Peter Refell and Luzella Hamilton. She was the eighth of nine children. She married August Mervin "Sandy" Sandberg on December 30, 1946 in the LDS Logan Temple. They had been married for more than 53 years when Sandy passed away in March of 1999. On September 30, 2000, Ruby married Thomas Wiseman.
Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent seamstress and presented children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with gifts of handmade clothing and/or quilts. She was also an accomplished artist and gardener. Additionally, Ruby loved genealogy and spent many hours tracking ancestors and assisting in genealogical efforts. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions within the church.
Ruby is survived by Thomas Wiseman and four children from her earlier marriage: Linda Norton of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Craige (Karen) Sandberg of Lehi, Utah; Terresa Krum of Sacramento, California and Michael (Leah) Sandberg of Adin, California; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition, Ruby is survived by her sisters Donna Johnson and Minnie Aton as well as many nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by first husband August "Sandy" Sandberg, her parents, six siblings and one great grandchild (Shayli Stucki).
Graveside services were held Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive Avenue, Fair Oaks, California.
