William Robert Thaler II passed away on January 28, 2022. Bill was born in Oakland on September 17, 1955. He grew up in Moraga, California, graduating from Campolindo High School in 1973 where he played football, baseball and developed his love of cars including the Austin Healy 3000 he restored in high school. Later, he attended Diablo Valley College and began his welding education. He went on to become a welder, mechanic, electrician, painter, and then to own his own handyman business.
In June of 1979, he married Carol Roberts and moved to Suisun, California where they had two children: Karen (Brad) Seely, Will (Annalisa) Thaler III. He lived in Suisun for 20 years before following his mother, Shirley Thaler, to the Las Vegas area near his sister Barbara.
Bill loved collecting coins, tools, and various other things. He loved music and movies.
In August 2010, he married Shirley Everhart and gained three more children: Stephanie (Josh) Botts, Tami (Patrick) Callen, Timothy (Brittney) Mullery.
More recently, Bill moved to American Fork, Utah to be near his children and seven of his grandchildren.
Bill loved spending time at the family cabin in Twain Harte, California, fixing cars, fishing, playing games, and watching his beloved San Francisco 49ers and Giants.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Shirley Thaler Sr, his older sister Barbara, and brother-in-law Kim Chesley. He is survived by his younger brother Steve (JoAnn) Thaler, all of his children, and 15 grandchildren.
Services for Bill will be Saturday February 12, 2022 at 12:00pm
