William (Bill) Luane Stapleton passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 16, 2014.

Bill is survived by his wife, Allie LaRue Graham Stapleton, and their six children: Allen (Ronda), Brian (Shauna), Brent (Shanti), David (Barbara), Susan (Jim) McKinney, and Daniel (Lynda) Stapleton. Bill and Allie also have 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Melissa Jane Stapleton.

Bill was the fourth of ten children born to Samuel Martin (Mick) Stapleton and Elsa Wanda (Fehlberg) Stapleton on June 26, 1934 in Woolford, Alberta, Canada. He attended Jefferson High and later attended and graduated from Cardston High School. In High School Bill was active in basketball and was proud of his teams accomplishment when they won the Alberta Championship in 1953.

Bill graduated from Brigham Young University in 1958 with a degree in chemical engineering. While attending BYU he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and met and married Allie LaRue Graham. Following graduation Bill accepted a position with Marathon Oil Company, located in Littleton Colorado. Later, in his professional career, he became a Real Estate Broker and owned and operated a property management business.

Bill and Allie and their family are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His five sons all served LDS missions. Bill served in numerous teaching and leadership capacities including seminary teacher, stake missionary, High Councilor in the Denver Stake, and as Branch President and Bishop of the Denver Bible Park Ward.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS Heritage Chapel, 1785 E. 400 S., Springville, UT on Saturday, September 27th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S, Springville, UT on Friday, September 26th, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and also at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
