William Graham Haab, age 83 of Springville, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. He was born April 18, 1928 in New York City, NY to Henry William and Sarah Elizabeth Waterfield Haab. He served during the Korean War and received four medals for his service there. William married Constance Anita "Connie Ann" Miller in Barstow, CA on July 15, 1969.
Family was Williams' highest concern, even with his many interests which included two stake missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in many church callings including a member of the High Counsel, Stake Librarian and has done extensive family history research and temple work.
William achieved many certifications and accomplishments: He was essential in the NASA space communications for Apollo II, designed an antenna for worldwide communications system and an automatic computer controlled weather radar for the National Center for Atmospheric research, received his Masters Degree from the Institute of Electronic/Electrical Engineers, and invented a medical device used in SADS therapy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Ann Haab, his children: Cathy Ann (Larry) Erdmann, Thomas J. (Holly) Haab, Dave Haab, Dan (Sherri) Haab, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville where there will be a viewing held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Springville Historic City Cemetery.
