Wilford Dennis Miller, age 63, passed away surrounded by his loving wife and children on Tuesday April 30, 2019 from cancer. He is the son of Stanley and Mirl Gull Miller. He graduated from Orem High School class of 1974. He married Brenda Beth Raty Miller on September 30, 1977 and they have two children.
Dennis learned the value of hard work at an early age helping on his Aunt Clara's dairy farm. He then absolutely loved working for his brother Mike. Together with both of his brothers and Mikes son's they built residential foundations. Den then worked the majority of his professional career as a foreman for Layton Construction. For over 30 years he built industrial buildings primarily in Utah and Nevada. He was a respected carpenter and known for his dependability and work ethic. Den would tell you that the most important thing he ever built was the friendships.
Den so enjoyed playing guitars or to be fishing with his big brothers, son, or friends. He was also skilled at tying flies. It brought him great happiness to share his talent with others. Dennie had a unique and infectious unforgettable laugh, a big heart, would do anything for you, and was the type of person who put others needs before his own. He deeply loved all his family members. It was the little things in life that brought him the most joy.
Dennis is survived by his wife Brenda, daughter Hillary Marie (Jeff) Hansen, son Ryan Michael Miller, grandchildren Rylie Faith Jones, Shelbi Lee Hansen, Mayley Hope Jones, Braxton Jeffrey Hansen, Whitney Marie Shepherd, Kelsi Teresa Hansen, Wyatt Byron Shepherd, and McKayden Owen Hansen. Sisters Sue (Blake) Carter, Linda (Dennis) Davis, brother Stanley Brent Miller, and sister Tammie Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael Wayne (Becci) Miller.
