Wayne J. Taylor, age 83 was reunited with his loving wife Janet on September 18, 2013. Wayne was born August 3, 1930, in Salem to John Franklin Taylor and Effie Mae Hanks, the last of seven children.
Wayne met and later married the love of his life, Janet Norton in the Salt Lake Temple September 14, 1949. He worked for and retired from Geneva Steel. He then worked six years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a custodian.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Janet, his parents and all his siblings. He is survived by six children, Brent (Tonya) Taylor, Bruce (Pennie) Taylor, Pauline (Rick) Jacobsen, Kaye (Mike) King, Kathy (Korky) Fernelius, Robert (Kris) Taylor, 21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and the entire staff at Parkway Health that helped care for Wayne these past few years. The nurses and workers at Curo Hospice. The home health care nurses at A+ that took care of Wayne while he lived at home. The family extends a special Thank You to Steve Rutledge for his caring friendship.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the LDS Chapel at 860 East 200 North, Springville. There will be a viewing held at the church from 11:30 to 12:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
