Voneta Arelene Tripp (Miner) passed away peacefully at her Menifee, California home on Sunday, October 12. She was surrounded by loved ones. She died due to complications from pancreatic cancer.

She was born on July 6, 1930 to Grant and Bernece Miner in Springville, UT.

She graduated from Springville High school in 1948 and attended Utah State University. She married Raymond Tripp in 1976.

Hers was a life of service, devotion to family, church and community. She worked for the Los Angeles Public School District for many years as an administrative assistant and retired in 1992 from the US Postal Service as a senior manager for human resources. She especially loved serving in many leadership roles throughout her life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her children, Eileen Twitchell (Maurice), Dale Peterson (Teri), Kathleen Woodbury (Paul), Maureen Peterson, step-children Vicky Freimann (Dennis) and Randy Tripp, sisters Nancy Schultze (Don), and Ina Sturlin, and brother Bert Miner (Dorothy).

She is adored by her 20+ grandchildren, 40+ great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Virginia Coleal, Phyllis Jacobsen, Lela Gutierrez, brothers John Miner, Neil Miner, Lynn Miner, and her first husband and father of her children, Gordon Richard Peterson.

A memorial was held on October 18 in Menifee for close friends and family members. A graveside family service was held the following week in Springville, UT.
