Virginia Whiting

Virginia Whiting, age 78, of Mapleton, Utah, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008. She was born October 14, 1929, in Mapleton, to Oscar and Mary Sullivan Whiting.
Virginia was raised in Mapleton and attended school there. She loved her nieces and nephews and had a special interest in them and their activities. They loved their aunt and the attention she always gave to them. She had a love for animals and she had a remarkable memory for everyone she met.
She is survived by one brother and two sisters: Juan (Alma) Whiting of Mapleton, Joyce (Heber) Olson of Tempe, Arizona, Marilyn (Don) Alston of Hendersen, Nevada; also sisters-in-law, Lora Whiting of Mapleton and Beryl Whiting of Whittier, California; and brother-in-law, Don Allan of Mapleton.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Provo Care Center and Hobble Creek Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville. There will be a viewing held one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
