Violet Olene Davis Davis

Violet Olene Davis Davis, age 72 of Delta, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011. She was born October 10, 1938 in Hermleigh, Texas to John Virgil and Omaola Payne Davis. She married Ronald Aaron Davis December 12, 1958 in Abilene, Texas.
Violet was a great bowler, an amazing softball player and an all-state basketball and volleyball player. She was a dedicated member of the LDS Church and enjoyed doing genealogy work. Violet was a very caring, loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Davis; sons: Randy Davis, Tim Davis and Curt Davis; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Virgil Davis of Texas and sisters, Willine and Betty of Texas. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Christine and Stella.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 1230 South 500 East in Springville. There will be a viewing held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., and Friday at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
