V. Dean Hafen
November 6, 1924 — January 5, 2008
V. Dean Hafen, age 83 of Springville, peacefully passed away in his home on January 5, 2008. He was born November 6, 1924 in Mt Emmons Utah. He married his sweetheart Barbara Petersen on November 17, 1950. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Dean was employed at the Coca Cola company in advertising for 39 ½ years. Dean was very talented and enjoyed many activities. He loved to fish. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served in many callings.
Dean is survived by his loving wife Barbara and three daughters. Jill (Russ) Baxter, Nancy (Reed) Burr, Joy Erickson. He was preceded in death by one son, Lynn. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 sisters: Gwenda Allred, Loma (Bob) Fotheringham, Ruth Chavez.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday January 8, 2008 at 1 P.M. in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel, 211 East 200 South, Springville, where friends may call from 11:30 A.M. until time of service. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
