Val Stewart Clement
May 10, 1922 — February 19, 2009
Val Stewart Clement, 86 of Springville, passed away February 19, 2009. Daughter of Lanson C. and S. Minerva Fowles Stewart, she was born on May 10, 1922 in Fairview, Utah. She married Grant L. Clement October 7, 1940 in the Manti Temple.
Survived by her husband, Grant; brother, Closs (Fern) Stewart; sister, Peggy (Reed) Mower; 3 adopted children: James, Carol and Laura; 9 foster children and Antonio Merino who adopted them. She was preceded in death by her son, Barry Grant Clement and parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 12 Noon at the Springville Stake Center, 245 South 600 East, Springville. Friends and family may call at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:45. Interment will be in the Fairview City Cemetery.
