Burt returned to welcoming arms in Heaven after a long and courageous battle with cancer on September 1, 2011 from his home in Genola surrounded by his loving family, at the young age of 72.
Born to Uel Elias (Dean) Stewart and Ann Auntine Burt, in Springville Utah. He attended South High school in Salt Lake City Utah.
At an early age he worked at Klein counter tops, before seeking a life long career as a Mechanical Insulator. He was a proud member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Union Local 69. Co-owner of Sol-Art Thermal Applicators, as well as other businesses.
Married Judy Ann Smith in 1959 later divorced. Married the LOVE of his life August 14, 1981, June Louise Meyer. Later, solemnized their marriage in the Provo Utah Temple.
Burt and June were fortunate to have spent time traveling together to such places as Russia, Germany, England, Scandinavia, and other parts of Europe along with Mexico and the Caribbean.
Formally residing in Riverton, Burt and June retired to Genola, Utah in 2005 where Burt could do the things he was best known for. Enjoying the game of golf and maintaining the landscape of their large yard. He had an avid green thumb, which carried on the Stewart family tradition. He grew various varieties of plants, vegetables, shrubs and trees.
Burt's real passion was washing and waxing the many custom cars he had built and was recognized for. Burt was a charter member of JESTERS CAR CLUB which was founded in 1953.
Most important thing to him was spending time with his lovely wife June, his large family, many friends, and his best pal IGGY.

Sam and Judy Ortega, Pocatello, Mickie Kim Stewart, Springville, Burt Dean (Jeff) Stewart, Salt Lake, Junnette and Dave Jolley, Salt Lake, Jaymme Ann Stewart, Salt Lake, Harold and Wendy Ortega, Salt Lake, Elizabeth Ortega, Salt Lake, Heidi and Blair Newman, Riverton, Brent Bunnell, Sandy; sister JoAnn Bjarnson , Holladay; 25 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, a sister, 2 stepbrothers, a brother-in-law, a grandson and 2 granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 840 S 400 E, Springville. Viewings will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 S 400 E, Springville.
