Thomas Mose Wakolee passed away June 10, 2016 at the age of 68. He was born Oct 21, 1947 in New York to Thomas David Wakolee and Beulah Herne. He was a Native American - direct descendant of the Sac-N-Fox Indian tribe. He grew up in New York and moved to Utah to attend BYU.
Tom loved cars. He worked at Crown Toyota in Orem and Barber Brothers in Spanish Fork. He enjoyed anything to do with cars. He enjoyed racing cars at the SLC Salt Flats and Bonneville Raceways. He especially enjoyed attending the Desert Races and the SEMA show each year in Las Vegas.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family. He was a big UTE fan. He had a love for learning and later in his life, he returned back to school where he graduated from Provo College in the Security Criminal Justice Program. He worked as a security guard during the SLC Winter Olympics in 2002 and various other security jobs.
He is survived by a son Thomas David Wakolee, a daughter Jana (Danny) Hardy. One grandson Trevor Hardy, two granddaughters Britni Wakolee and Danika Hardy. He was married to Julie Ann Stephenson and later divorced.
A graveside service will be held at the Evergreen cemetery 400 East 1700 South in Springville on Tuesday, June 21 at 7:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend.
