Shirlene Susanna (Riding) Revoir, 83 of Mapleton, our beautiful angel on earth, who we had the privilege to call Mom and Grandma, passed away December 16, 2020, at her daughter's home. She was surrounded by her loving family, holding her hand while waiting for her loving husband Lloyd to guide her on her journey back home.
Shirlene fell in love with Lloyd Revoir and they were married in Mapleton, on October 7, 1955 and later sealed in the Manti Temple October 9, 1999. She and Lloyd raised six children: Randy (Terese) Revoir, Diane (Steve) Johnson, Denise (Neil) Jacobson, Susann (John) Brinkerhoff, Mary (Jeff) Thomas, Becky (Brandon) Adams.
Shirlene was blessed with 29 Grandchildren, followed by 59 great-grandchildren. Shirlene was born on February 25, 1937, in Mapleton, Utah. Shirlene has one sibling Robert (Bub) (Bonnie) Riding, brother-in-law Robert (Bob) (Suzanne) Revoir, sister-in-law Mary Alice Revoir. She lived in Mapleton for 80 years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Shirlene worked at Utah Valley Hospital for over 20 years after retiring she worked for Hansen’s plants. She enjoyed working side by side with Lloyd raising sheep, tomatoes, corn, camping in Strawberry at the sheep camp, making homemade bread for her children, traveling with her mother, spending time with her dog Sam, Riding Club dinners, card club, bunco and her monthly lunches with her closest friends. She loved to crochet, making sure every grandchild received a blanket, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Everyone that knew her loved and embraced her warmth and kindness. She will be dearly missed.
Our angel on earth is now our beautiful angel in heaven, free of pain, where her love and strength will guide us all every day. We can genuinely say we have been blessed to call her mother.
Shirlene is preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Dorothy Riding, husband Lloyd E. Revoir, brother-in-law Larry (Joseph) and Ruth Revoir, grandson Brett Webster, and great-granddaughter Taycee Papworth.
