Susan Biesinger Lewis

Susan Biesinger Lewis passed away on January 2, 2016, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden due to heart failure.

Susan, age 67, was born in Utah county on October 17, 1948 to Wilford and Genevive Biesinger.  Susan grew up in Springville. She attended Utah State University, where she met and married Dan Lewis. They had four children, and later divorced.

Professionally, Susan was an accountant, with an emphasis on public benefit non-profit companies. She received her BA degree in 1982 from Utah State University, and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Weber State University.  Most recently, she worked for Valley Residential Services in Wasilla, Alaska, and retired in October 2015.

Susan will be remembered for her love of life and her diverse interests. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and making things, and was eager to learn and to share with others.

She was preceded in death by her brother Donald. She is survived by her stepmother Elaine, siblings Jim, Esther, and Gerald, and by her children Patrick, Jason, Rachel and Paige. She has nine grandchildren.

Susan’s children would like to thank the extended Biesinger family for their support and help during this time. Your love and assistance is very much appreciated.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 15th, at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. Springville, UT.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
