Shirley Delores Perkins Bringhurst
October 19, 1929 — October 25, 2007
Our loving Mother and Grandmother's battle with Alzheimer's finally came to an end on 10/25/07 and she is now at peace.
Shirley was born in Milford, Utah on 10/19/29 and grew up in Spanish Fork. She was the youngest of seven children born to Joseph and LaPreal Wallace Perkins. Shirley married Dale Bird Bringhurst on 12/30/46 and they made their home in Springville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple. Dale, her loving husband of 55 years, passed away in 2002.
Mother worked at Penney's in Springville and ZCMI in Orem until her retirement. She loved nothing better than spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her children Douglas Dale (Sharon) of Springville, Larry David (Glenda) of Mapleton and Joan (Brent) Handy of Salt Lake City, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, grandson Ryan Handy, sister Melba White and brothers Doyle, Drew, McKay, Wallace and Warren Perkins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Hobble Creek 9th Ward, 450 S Canyon Dr., Springville. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville and Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
