Shirley Allan Diamond, 79, of Springville, Utah died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at her home. She was born September 11, 1928 in Springville to Wilbur Frank and Leona Roylance Allan. She married her high school sweetheart, Jay Lewis Diamond on March 10, 1948. They were sealed September 20, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple and had 59+ wonderful years together.
Shirley was a member of the LDS church where she served in many callings over the years. She enjoyed many hobbies including, ceramics, tole painting, porcelain doll making, reading, bowling, cross-word puzzles and playing games. Shirley enjoyed meeting with her girl friends at a monthly club for over 50 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Club and the Springville Senior Citizens, where she enjoyed visiting and painting with the group.
She is survived by her husband; children: Linda (Lynn) Joles, Twin Falls, ID; David Diamond, Springville; Allison Leslie, Aubrey, TX; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; brother; Paul (RaVae) Allan, Mapleton; sisters-in-law: Margie Allan, Springville; Joann (Bob) Barlow, Bountiful; brothers-in-law: Dale (Toni) Diamond, St David, AZ; Bliss Diamond, Orange, CA; Verl (Joan) Diamond, Rigby, ID; Lynn (Linda) Diamond, Fountain Valley, CA and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Calvin Allan; sister-in-law, Lori Diamond; son-in-law, Tim J. Leslie and great granddaughter, Destiny Joles.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 10th Ward Chapel, 672 N 250 W , Springville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, or Thursday, one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Springville City Cemetery.
