Shauna Rigby, age 45, of Springville passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was born June 7, 1969 in Provo, Utah. She was the daughter of Larry and Lynnae Sanford. Shauna was preceded in death by her father.
Shauna grew up in Springville and graduated from Springville High. She later worked at Snelson Photo Color Lab where she met her sweetheart, Roger. They were married on June 18, 1988 in the Salt Lake Temple and made their home in Springville.
Shauna was exquisitely talented. She was an exceptional writer and loved to compose stories and poetry. She was also an extraordinary homemaker designing quilts, creating floral arrangements, and filling her home with beautiful handcrafted creations. She was a remarkable cook who never needed a recipe.
Shauna suffered from ill health for much of her married life, but was continually thinking of others. Service came naturally to her. She was happiest while spending time with her family, especially her grandson Greyson.
Shauna is survived by her husband Roger, her children Stephanie Allred (Corbin) and Ryan Rigby (BreAnna) and her adored grandson Greyson Allred. She was anxiously awaiting the birth of her granddaughter in September. She is also survived by her mother Lynnae, her brother Dee Sanford (Jenny), and her sister Teresha Taylor (Nicolas).
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 860 South 400 East, Springville. There will be a visitation held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, and Monday at the Chapel one hour prior to the services. Interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville.
