Shauna Jean Schulthies Moyes passed away on April 24th, 2015 two weeks shy of her 56th birthday. Shauna was born May 6th, 1959 in Denver Colorado and shortly thereafter was lovingly adopted by her parents Hal and Claudeen Schulthies. Shauna is the oldest of three children and is survived by her two younger brothers Shane and Rod Schulthies.
Shauna grew up on a farm in Elberta Utah where she bucked hay, herded sheep and loved all the small animals around the farm. Shauna graduated with an Associates Degree from the Utah Valley Community College and had a successful career as a professional genealogist and computer support technician. She married Dean Moyes (Birmingham, England) in Salt Lake and resided in Murray. A couple years ago she moved to Springville with her younger brother Rod. She continued to work on her genealogy and loved her cats till the day she passed away.
Shauna was a very intelligent and creative person. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sketching, playing the piano, singing and writing. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and taught them how to play the piano, sang duets with them and taught them how to cook all her signature dishes. She loved animals with a passion and gave home to many guinea pigs, birds and cats. Shauna was loved by all and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville, Utah. There will be a viewing at the mortuary one hour prior to the funeral services. Burial will take place in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
