The most amazing woman, our loving wife, wonderful mother, inspiring grandmother/great-grandmother, caring sister and compassionate friend, has passed on to the loving arms of our Father in Heaven. Surrounded by loved ones as she lost the long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born to goodly parents Melvin B. "Mick" Ford and Ada Pack. She was very close to her sister Marilyn Watson (Ike). Graduated from South High and Utah Technical College nursing program. She was an LPN at Cottonwood Hospital and spent most of her career at the Women's Center.
She married Lee Nielson and had 4 beautiful children, Sheri Harris (Jeff), Mark Nielson (Kim), Sydney Seitz (Sheldon) and Stacy Platt (Randy). They later divorced. Then she met and married her eternal companion Wayne Reese and gained 2 more beautiful daughters Mary Kaye Willden (Kenny) and Tracy Aagard (James). She had a tremendous love of the mountains, road trips and surprises. She found gardening therapeutic so her yard was beautiful and tomatoes were delicious. She would try most anything and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a great friend to all and went out of her way to make people feel loved. She earned the nickname Olive Oil because she recommended its use to heal most anything.
Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is survived by her husband, sister, 6 children, 31 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 more expected soon.
A viewing will be held Monday, January 16th from 6-8 pm at the Saratoga Springs 7th Ward Chapel at 400 N. 700 W., Saratoga Springs and from 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday, January 17th prior to funeral services held at 11:00 am.
Special thanks to caregivers at Huntsman Cancer Center at IMC and Access Home Health and Hospice. You cared for her as she had cared for others.
