Las Vegas – Saundra Lee (Weight) Pollock left her earthly chains behind her on July 13, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Saundra was born on February 28, 1942 in Provo, Utah to James Keith and Louise (Miller) Weight, and was raised in Springville. She joined her older brother and later welcomed 2 sisters. She attended Springville schools and graduated from Springville High School in 1960.
Saundra worked for Mountain Bell for a time before serving a mission for the LDS church in Western Canada. Upon her return from her mission, she began her banking career and worked for several different banks both in Utah and Nevada. On September 1, 1972 she married the love of her life, Maynard Lewis Pollock in the Salt Lake Temple. Her husband’s work took them to Las Vegas where she resided until her death.
Saundra was a devoted member of the LDS church and served in many positions throughout her lifetime, including serving in the Las Vegas Temple until her health would no longer allow. Maynard and Saundra added two children to their family: Michael and Sylvia and later the apple of her eye, her grandson Blake. Maynard passed away on March 7, 1991.
Saundra loved being with her family and friends, and cherished the moments she was able to share with them. The family would like to thank her friend Beverly MacKay and her daughter Sylvia for all of the help and love they provided her during the past couple of years.
Saundra was preceded in death by her husband her parents and many friends and loved ones she missed so much. She is survived by her son Michael (Lucy); daughter Sylvia (George) Barriga; grandson Blake Vollmoeller; brother Kay (Kathy) Weight; sister Michelle Nielson and sister Jo (Tony) Noxon, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends she adored.
Saundra we Jove you and will miss you until we can be together again.
