Sara Clark Biggs, age 91, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 in Provo, Utah. She was born May 19, 1919 in Glencoe, Wyoming to Frank and Catherine Ellis Clark. She married Alfred W. Biggs February 18, 1935 in Randolph, Utah. Together they had five children: Bill, Ron, Clark, Harold and Cathy.
Sara spent 12 years in Carbon County, Utah where she was a mother and housewife. In 1947, Sara moved to Mapleton on a small farm where she raised her five children. She was a supervisor at the Eddington Cannery, a lunch manager for Nebo School District, and a demo for Albertson's Butcher Block.
Sara was always up on the latest fashions, including earrings, shoes and purses to match. She had a great collection of Betty Boop, which she was known for. Sara enjoyed bowling, bingo, and her many trips to Wendover.
She is survived by her sons: Bill, Ron (Marla), Harold (Sandy) and one daughter, Cathy Howes. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and one brother, Arthur Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred W. Biggs; one son, Clark T. Biggs; sisters, Arvilla, Merle, Bernice and Catherine; brothers, Frank and Bill; and one son-in-law, Chad Howes.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
