Samuel Alan Martin

It is with both sorrow and happiness that we celebrate the life of Samuel Alan Martin, a beloved brother, son, and friend. Sam touched our lives with his love for the outdoors, his spontaneous bursts of song, and his infectious sense of humor. He passed away from an unexpected brain injury on September 6, 2023, at the age of 33. He was surrounded by loved ones during his brief time at the hospital, finding comfort in the presence of family and friends.

Born on July 31, 1990, Sam is the son of Val and Jill Martin. He was raised in a large and loving family. He was a skilled craftsman, and his work as a cabinet maker and woodworker, he was dedicated and talented. He was known for his craftsmanship and commitment to excellence. He had an innate love for the outdoors, finding joy in hiking, rappelling and camping. His laughter was infectious, his humor lightened our hearts and his spontaneous serenades made us smile.

Sam leaves us with an abundance of cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his brother David and his adored baby sister Lorien. He is survived by his parents, Val and Jill Martin, and his loving siblings, Shari, Sharlotte, Jacob, Alisha, Julianna, Marilee, Angie, Quenton, Rebecca, Lilly, Aaron, and Katherine, and his beloved Shalyea and darling four year old daughter Charlee.

A memorial service for Samuel Alan Martin will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, 11:00 am, at 1661 S 1400 E, Spanish Fork. He will be buried in the Spanish Fork Cemetery near David, Lorien and his grandparents.
