Ruth Ann Gavin West

Ruth Ann Gavin West, 58, of Springville, Utah, passed away May 2, 2011, after a long and very valiant battle with liver disease. She was at her home with husband and daughter by her side. She was born April 12, 1953 in Payson, Utah, a daughter to Clinton L. Gavin and Ruth Collings Gavin. She married Jay William West, October 20, 1977.



Ruth Ann was a nurse for IHC for 30 years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, and was loved by her family and extended family as well.



Survivors include her husband; two daughters: Jessie Caldwell and Larcy (Matt) Mortensen; three grandchildren: Austin Mounteer, Ashtynn Caldwell and Mckenzie Mortensen; a brother, Terry (Audrey) Gavin; two sisters-in-law: Kaye Stallings and Diane (Wayne) Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; a sister, Edna (Keith) Dunton and a brother, John Ned Gavin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7th at 1 p.m. in the LDS church at 495 South Canyon Road, Springville, UT. A viewing for family and friends will be held prior to the services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Jay West at the Central Bank in Springville, UT.
