Ruth E. Tanner passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, Mission Viejo, CA.
A funeral will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 @ 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel, 2575 Dalton Drive, Springville, Utah. Burial will be in the Levan Town Cemetery.
Ruth was born March 15, 1924 in San Diego, CA to Arthur Benjamin and Ruth Clinger. On September 15, 1943 she married Virl Kay Tanner in San Diego, CA. One week later, they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They resided in San Diego for 30 years as they raised their family of 5 children. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, excellent homemaker and talented seamstress.
After retirement, Ruth and Virl moved to Levan, Utah. Ruth especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruth Clinger; her grandson, Matthew Nobbs; daughter, Geraldene; brothers, Grant, Daniel, Allan; sisters, Geraldene, Norma, Maurine and Naomi.
She is survived in death by sons, William Tanner, John Tanner, David Tanner; daughter, Emily Pugmire; forty two grandchildren; 98 great grandchildren; sister, Emerald Owens; brothers John Clinger and Lawrence Clinger.
