1933~2015
Rowena McClain Haran, our sweet mother and grandmother passed away on January 24, 2015 in Spanish Fork, Utah. Rowena was born on May 7, 1933 to George Albert and Mollie Dalton McClain in Spanish Fork, Utah. She grew up in Springville and lived there until the year 1998, when she moved to Provo. She was married to Tom Haran and later divorced. She had one daughter, Kathleen Maria, who she loved and devoted her life to. Rowena worked as an AT&T telephone operator for around 25 years.
Rowena was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Many of her callings involved working with children, whom she adored. She held a calling as a nursery teacher for ten years serving with her daughter. She served a full-time mission for the church to the Central States.
Rowena is survived by her younger brothers William and Ralph McClain, her son-in-law Victor Soto, granddaughter Arielle Soto and a huge extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Kathleen Soto and her brother Albert McClain.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Slate Canyon 10

Ward Chapel at 1745 South State, Provo, UT. Viewings will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, UT and Tuesday 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Spanish Fork Nursing and Rehab, and Inspiration Hospice for their dedicated service in making Rowena feel loved and cared for.
