1932 ~ 2013
Ronella passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on February 12, 2013 at the age of 80. She was born November 10, 1932 in Koosharem, Utah to Charles Elroy Helquist and Elmina C Hatch Helquist; attended high school in Richfield and Salina and graduated from Brigham Young University. On December 18, 1953, Ronella married her sweetheart Clip J Taylor in the Manti Temple.
Ronella is loved and survived by her husband of 59 years and their five children: Kendall (Sandra) Taylor of Mapleton, Catherine (Mike) Long of Highland, Sharmayne (Tim) Wardell of Tucson, Arizona, LaRayne (Richard) Graves of Mapleton, and Anna (Reed) Snyder of Mapleton. Clip and Ronella have 25 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Wyoma Hortin Porath, and preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sherie Sorensen.
We will always remember our dear wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Ronella served her family and church members and was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many different callings. What was most important to Ronella was to be supportive of her husband, to love her family and teach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ through her example.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 16, 2013 at 11am at the Stake Center (970 N 400 E) in Mapleton. Viewings will be on Friday February 15 from 6-8pm at the Wheeler Mortuary, Mapleton (82 W 400 N), and also on Saturday at the Stake Center from 9:30-10:30am prior to the services. Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
