Ronald V. Wheeler passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ronald was born August 6, 1934 in Milburn, Utah to Henry Vance and Ethel Marie Bills Wheeler. He had a happy childhood growing up on the family farm in Milburn. Ronald married his high school sweetheart, Enid Noreen Acord on September 10, 1954 in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple.
He attended schools in Fairview, Utah and graduated from North Sanpete High School. Ronald also attended Snow College and graduated from Utah State University in 1956.
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New Zealand. He continued his lifelong service in the LDS church serving in a variety of callings, but his favorite calling was serving with his wife, Noreen, as a Branch President at the Provo Missionary Training Center.
He worked forty-two years as an award-winning insurance manager and Certified Life Underwriter for both Metropolitan and National Farmers Union where he met many life long friends.
He is survived by his four children: Annette Davis, Mary Lynne (Alan) York, Kathryn (Calvin) Crandall, and Mark (Kristie) Wheeler, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and his sister, Elaine (Tom) Mower. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother, Edwin B. Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Springville Stake Center, 245 S. 600 E., Springville. There will be a viewing held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville and at the Stake Center on Thursday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
