Roger Haymond of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away Saturday, October 6th at the age of 65. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Davis Haymond, five children Kimberly (Wade) Smith of Florida, Craig (Karen) Haymond of Arizona, Shauna Haymond (Rick Sherwin) of Virginia, Scott (Merry) Haymond of California, Carrie (Weston) Winegar of Utah, and 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his father Howard Haymond, his twin brother Robert (Phyllis) Haymond, brother Carl (Arlene) Haymond, and sister Linda (Robert) Bailie, all of Springville, Utah.



He served an LDS mission in Brazil, is a graduate of BYU, is an Eagle Scout, and served in the US Army during Vietnam. Roger recently retired from the US Department of Homeland Security. He is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "Beach Grandpa" loved taking his grandchildren to the beach, fishing and snorkeling, as well as taking them for rides in the red wagon. He loved the outdoors and the mountains of Utah where he grew up. He will be greatly missed.



A viewing will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. in Springville, Utah. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Springville City Cemetery Saturday, October 13th.
