Bob Groesbeck passed away on July 23, 2013 at home with his family surrounding him after a long illness. Services will be held Saturday, July 27 3:00 pm at LDS Paradise Ward on Pile and Bermuda. Bob was born 1936 in Grangeville, ID to Ila and Milton (Whitie) Groesbeck. He graduated from Snow College and joined the Army serving two terms in Fort Carson Colorado and Ft Lewis, Washington. He inherited his vocation from his father and grandfather who blazed trails and roads in Utah & Wyoming on Clydesdale horses to Bob's 38 years of construction with Southern Nevada Paving.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many teaching and leadership positions, including the bishop and three bishoprics. He had a beautiful baritone singing voice and sang in Desert Chorale from its inception.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Lynn, children Jeri Sue (Mark) McSeveney, Tamara Hildalgo (Freddie), Jay Groesbeck (Tresa), Lynn Groesbeck (Sharon), Richard Groesbeck, Brandie Smith (Russell) and Allan Groesbeck (Brandy), two sisters Ila Bennett and Carolyn Lossee, and 12 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife LaRae and grandson Rory Cradit.
He will be remembered for his jokes and positive attitude, his faith in the Lord, his love of country, family and friends.
