Born Feb. 11, 1927 in Springville, Utah to Guy Harrington and Norma Showell Eddy Bird. Died peacefully on Dec. 29, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He watched us take our first breath into life, we watched him take his last breaths. Now a new journey begins.

Dad, married is sweet heart of 64 yrs. Donna Rowene Huff in Spanish Fork, UT on March 18, 1948, they were later sealed in the Manti Temple as a family on April 18, 1964.

Dad, was a man of great strength, courage, love and a hard worker. He always supported his children, grandchildren and great-�grandchildren in many activities. He especially loved his family. He is member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dad enjoyed traveling, camping and hunting throughout the years with family and friends. He was a baseball coach. Dad attended Springville High and was never able to graduate, he was drafted in the last part of his senior yr. into the army in WWII. He went to Korea under the title of "Occupation of Korea".

After returning back home from the war dad worked several jobs to support his family. He worked for JM Sumison Const, and Valley Asphalt Comp. for 33 plus yrs. a member of Operating Eng. Union and VFW.

He is survived by his wife. Children: Pat (Ray) Crane, Randall G (Kathy) Bird, Denise (Keith) Dallin, Jayne Ann (Stephen) Bills, Linda (Trent) Hoover. A brother Jack O. Bird and sister in law Louise Bird. 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren. He is proceed in death by his parents and brothers Leray and N. Guy Bird. Grandson Korey Morris Dallin. Great-grandsons Holden and Reve Dyke.

The family would like to express thanks to CNS Hospice and his nurse Lois Sutherland, Larry and Myrna Robertson for their kindness and loving care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 235 E. 550 N., Springville with a viewing held from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
