1950~2012
Rick Wesley Gould passed away on December 5, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was raised in Springville and attended Jefferson Elementary, Springville Jr. and Senior High Schools. After High School Rick attended the College of Southern Utah at Cedar City and worked summers at the National Parks in Southern Utah.
He spent his life in the restaurant business managing restaurants in California, Utah and Arizona for Bob's Big Boy and JB's Family Restaurants. He then moved to Juab County and worked for the Juab County Jail as the food service manager and supervised all food services for the jail for many years. Most recently he worked for a Steak House and Quiznos' restaurants in Nephi, UT.
Rick enjoyed golf and fishing and playing cards as his hobbies throughout his lifetime.
Rick is survived by his son Ryan J. Gould, step-daughter Kristina Hobbs, Lacey, Washington and step-son Eric Hobbs of Tacoma Washington and his twin brother Randy J. Gould, of Nephi, UT; sisters LeRae Carter, Taylorsville, UT; Pauline Boyer, Springville, UT; JoAnn Stewart, Springville, UT; and Donna Harrington, also of Springville.
The family expresses its sincere appreciation to Nancy Trapnell of Encompass/Alpine Hospice Home Health Care and Spanish Fork Nursing and Rehabilitation for their exceptional and tender care of Rick during his illness.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Levan Town Cemetery at 12:00 noon. To honor Rick, in lieu flowers, please contribute your time or means to any cancer charity of your choice.
