We are sad to announce the passing of our father, Dr. Richard E. Haymond, on Monday, September 16, 2019. He was 91. Dad was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, July 3, 1928 to Ted and Helen Haymond of Springville, Utah. He married June Hughes of Spanish Fork, Utah on June 20, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She first caught his eye on the campus of BYU wearing a kelly green sweater.
He received degrees in pharmacy from the University of Utah in 1951 and dentistry from USC in 1959. In August 1959, Richard, June and Family moved to Orange County where Dad established his dental practice. He was a dentist in North Tustin for 45 years. He was an avid picture taker, adventurer (white water rafting on the Colorado River), sports fan (USC Trojan through and through), patriot, world traveler, beach lover, family leader and supporter.
He will be dearly missed by his children Ann Lambourne, Steven R. Haymond (Diane), Teresa L. Bell (Jim), Brenda Lester (Rick), Jon D. Haymond (Elizabeth), and Shannon Brague (Stephen). He was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Karen H. Dixon of Orem, Utah and brother, Brent Haymond of Springville, Utah.
Gravesite services will be held on October 5, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, Utah.
