Renee Averett Snyder, age 89 of Mapleton, died peacefully at home Thursday, August 15, 2013. She was born September 25, 1923 in Springville, UT to Ruphas and Frankie Averett. She married Robert Augustus Snyder March 28, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She is survived by five sons and two daughters: Russell Snyder of Pleasant Grove, Ronald Snyder of Layton, Kent Snyder of Mapleton, Judy Fowler of Tooele, Joan Mitchell of Big Piney, Wyoming, Rick Snyder of Jasper, Alabama, and Reed Snyder of Mapleton; 28 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Wendell Averett of Springville. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Robert (Bill) Snyder.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Mapleton North Stake Center at 475 N. 1600 W., Mapleton with a viewing being held from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
