Rella Beatrice Hall Carpenter, age 87 of Spanish Fork, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 of complications due to heart disease. She was born March 19, 1920 in Removal, West Virginia to Levi Morgan Hall, Jr. and Rebecca Barbara Perrine. Rella married Harold Gordon Carpenter June 1, 1938 in Webster County, West Virginia.
Rella served as a temple worker in the Washington D.C. temple and in the St. George temple. She reared her children with love and set an example of Christ like love and service throughout her life. She served as Relief Society President twice, for over 16 years, in the Webster Springs Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also served in the Sunday School and Primary organizations. Rella left a legacy of service to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by friends and family. Rella was a friend and servant to all she met. She would hope that each of us would remember her by continuing to serve others.
She is survived by her children: Richard Duane Carpenter of Ocala, FL; Sandra Kay Caron of Springville, UT; Randall Lynn Carpenter of Creston, OH; Sue Ann Palmer of Stafford, VA; Madelyn Carol Talbert of Spanish Fork, UT; and. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren with two more expected this year.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 4 p.m. in the Aspen Meadows 3rd Ward, 1661 S. 1400 E., Spanish Fork. Interment will be at a later date in Guardian, West Virginia.
