Rea Alice Kropf Austin

August 26, 1935 — April 6, 2011

Rea Alice Kropf Austin, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed into the arms of Our Loving Heavenly Father on Wednesday April 6th, 2011.



She was born to wonderful parents Frank and Ethel Burton Kropf on August 26, 1935 in Cleveland Idaho. They moved to Bremerton and Seattle area where she was raised.



She married the Love of Her Life, Joseph Wells Austin, on December 15, 1954 in the Logan Utah Temple for time and all eternity. During her married life they lived in many places and the friendships made in those places were always close to her heart.



She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She served 4 missions with her husband and was a great example for her family. Rea was called to work in the Extraction Program in 1985 and has extracted since that time. She loved teaching others about the gospel and lived her life in a way that was a testimony to her family and friends.



She is survived by her spouse Joseph, her five children: Bryant (Janae) Austin, Kenneth (Denise) Austin, Melvina Austin, Lynette Austin, and Karlene Austin, 17 grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great Great-Granddaughter; Her Sister Delma Westover of Rexburg Idaho.



She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Doris Smout and Brother Byron Kropf.



Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the Mapleton Red Church, 1215 N. 1000 W., Mapleton. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 82 West 400 North, Mapleton and Monday at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
