1939 - 2014
Ray Keith Daybell, age 74, Springville, passed away Friday September 26, 2014. He was born October 17, 1939 in Provo, Utah to Lloyd Keith Daybell and Rosalie Bjarnson Daybell. He graduated Springville High School 1957. He married Eloise Blanchard on September 21, 1961 in the Manti LDS Temple.
When he was 11 years old his father was killed. He worked hard from that time on for farmers and a dairy, GATX, and Geneva as a boilermaker and retired in 2001. He had many interests, hobbies, and close friends. He was the kindest, most generous, honest, humble, and loving person you ever knew. He was genuinely one of a kind. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise, and 5 children: Mary Jane Hansen (Jeff) of Spanish Fork; Susan Perry (Tom); Steven Ray Daybell (Lisa); Frank Ray Daybell (Angie); and Linda Daybell, all of Springville. Also by his brothers, Lanny Daybell and Jack Daybell, sister, Judy Robertson, his 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and dog, Sadie. Preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Julie Marie Hansen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 30, 2014 at 11 am at the Hobble Creek West Stake House Chapel located at 555 South 600 East in Springville (Averett Avenue). Friends and family may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville, or Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
