Randy Lynn Hanks

Randy Lynn Hanks, 71, of Springville Utah, passed on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, with his loving wife Mirta Hanks by his side. He was born on August 11, 1952, in Provo Utah to Gerald Mathew Hanks and Orpha Wignall Hanks.

He married Mari-Jo Knipe in the spring of 1973 and raised 5 boys and 1 girl together. They raised Britney Spaniels and loved to garden. He had a love for horses and enjoyed riding with his dad, brothers and children. Going Camping was one of his favorite things to do, He taught his children how to fish, hunt, camp, work hard and have fun.

His wife Mari-Jo passed in 1993 and he soon retired from his time at Provo City. He later met his wife Mirta and Married in 2004.

Randy Hanks was a great man, son, brother, husband and father and friend to all who knew him. He will be missed.

Randy is survived by his wife Mirta Hanks of Springville, UT; His children Jamie L Hanks (Danielle) of Millcreek, UT, Jason R Hanks (Amanda) of Salt Lake City, UT, Dan M Hanks of Spring City, UT, Randy R Hanks (Jennifer) of Manti, UT, Michelle L Johnson (Stanley) of Springville, UT, Maria Peralta (Nick) of Springville, UT, Carla Brockbank (Bryce) of Payson, UT. And his siblings, Jerry Wayne (Meridean), Lorna Lloyd, Steve, Kevin (Pam) and Neil who passed on May 7, 1999.

A Celebration of life for family and friends will be held at the LDS Church in Springville located at 1230 S 500 E, Springville, Utah, 84663, on Saturday, August 3rd from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. This is a casual affair.
