Randy Alan Fairbanks, 33 years old of Springville, Utah passed away July 7, 2010. He was born to Gail Fairbanks on May 24, 1977 in Hollywood, Florida. He married Amber Lanae Crocker on June 15, 2002 in the Portland, Oregon LDS Temple.
Randy was a loving husband and father. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Santa Rosa, California. He worked in the UVRMC Operating room for several years as a surgical technologist. He was passionate about the medical field and the human body. He graduated from Utah Valley University May, 2009 in Community Health and his dream was to become a physician. He was an honorary member of Phi Kappa Phi. He enjoyed the outdoors, physical exercise, music including playing the guitar and the drums. As a youth he played in a band and the school show choir. He loved the Beatles, Beach Boys and Nirvana. He really enjoyed creative model work which included scenes from favorite films and an elaborate WWII model.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents EJ Lamar and Rose Fairbanks and two aunts, Linda and Sharon Fairbanks. He is survived by one daughter, Emily Jayne, His wife, Amber and his immediate family: Mike, Gail, Chad, Tyler, Paige and Hailee Fairbanks.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12 at 11 a.m. in the LDS church located at 1250 S. 400 E. in Springville, Utah. There is a viewing on Sunday, July 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville and prior to the funeral services at the church from 9:30-10:30am. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
