Lois RaNae Murdock Allred Phillips, 84 years young, from Springville, Utah, passed peacefully away on April 16, 2020, surrounded by her loving Children and Grandchildren She was born on March 10, 1936 in her Grandmother Hilda Gates home in Salina, Utah to Lois Elizabeth Murdock and Parley Eugene Murdock. RaNae was the oldest of eight children.  RaNae was raised by her sweet grandmother Hilda Gates in Salina, Utah where she grew up and attended school and worked.  She graduated from North Sevier High School in 1954. She met and married her best friend and eternal companion James Darr Allred on April 20, 1956 in Salina, Utah.  The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti, LDS Temple on May 23, 1970.
During the 36 years that RaNae was married to Darr (he preceded her in death May 2, 1992) she was a devoted mother, homemaker and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly.  Her family meant everything to her.  She loved to cook and try new recipes. She made the best homemade rolls, pies, desserts and dinners.  She took pride in her home and loved cleaning it.  She was known as “Mrs. Clean”.  She worked for JC Penney for several years until she retired and then she worked at The Church Distribution Center.

RaNae met and married Loren Jay Phillips on June 16, 2001.  They were married for time in the Provo LDS Temple.  They were blessed to have each other for several years (Loren preceded her in Death on September 1, 2014).  RaNae and Loren were able to travel to Europe, Hawaii and many other places with their children.  Their children and grandchildren were very important to them and they enjoyed spending time with all of them.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a visiting teacher, Sunday School and Young Women’s Secretary, and Compassionate Service Leader in the Relief Society.  RaNae loved to serve others and she enjoyed making meals, making quilts and taking baby gifts to friends, family, and those in her ward.
