Ramon Sorensen McKay passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Springville, Utah. He was born May 25, 1926 in Huntsville, Utah to Arwell McKay and Paula Sorensen, the 3 rd of 4 children. He graduated from Weber High School in 1945 and was drafted into the Army. Because of an accident, his father had, he had to stay home and run the family farm. He purchased some farm equipment and contracted and did custom work for the neighboring farmers.

In 1949, he purchased a milk hauling route from the farmers and Cream of Weber Dairy, first with cans then later a tanker. He served a home mission in the Ogden Stake.

He loved square dancing, hunting with his two older sons. He had a lot at Sour Dough where he loved to fish at his property and later boarded horses.

He married Donna Sorensen August 7, 1993 in the Salt Lake Temple. He and his wife did sealing's for 12 years at the Ogden Temple.

In 2008, he sold his farm and moved to a retirement community in Springville. He was proud to tell people he was a 2 nd cousin to President David O. McKay. He helped President McKay on his farm and rode horses with him. President McKay blessed 2 of his children.

He married Ragna McDougle and before divorcing had 4 children: Bryant (Stephanie), Gary (Rebecca), Tina, and Tim (Peggy).

He married Judith Barker and before divorcing they had 5 children: Debbie Adams (Greg), Ray, David, Russell (Randi), and Randall (Melissa).

His stepchildren are Sandie Talbot (Paul), and Vickie Briggs (David).

He is survived by his wife, Donna, his children, 24 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36 th Street in Ogden, Utah. There will be a viewing Sunday evening from 5 to 6:45 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville and Monday at Leavitt's Mortuary from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be at the Ogden City Cemetery.
