Phyllis Condie

June 12, 1932 — March 15, 2008

Phyllis Condie, 75, died March 15, 2008 at her home of cancer. She was the first of 5 children of Arthur Earl and Jessie Packard Condie born June 12, 1932 in Springville, Utah.



She graduated from BYU with Bachelors degree in education, later receiving a Masters Degree. She taught a few years in Springville and Mapleton then moved on to teach children around the world as a civilian on air force military bases. She taught over a 20 year period in Morocco, Germany, England, Philippines, Okinawa, and Korea.



She served an LDS Mission to the California Mission 1956 57. Her life has been one of service as she has been ward organist, has taught early morning seminary, Gospel Doctrine, and Relief Society President many times on ward and stake level throughout her world travels. She was a Temple Ordinance Worker in Seoul Korea and Provo Temples. At the time of her death she was serving as RS President of the Springville 8th ward.



Phyllis has given a lifetime of service to family and friends. Her teaching, service and example will be greatly missed by the many whose life's have been enriched by all her good works and willing service.



She is survived by her sister, Jane C. Jones (Jack); brothers, A. Packard Condie (Darlene) and Rulon P. Condie (Marylou) all of Springville. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lee P. Condie.



Funeral services will be Thursday, March 20, 2008, 11:00 am at Springville 8th Ward, 245 S. 600 E. Friends may call on Wednesday March 19, between 6 8 p.m. at the Springville Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. and Thursday at the church 1 ½ hours prior to the service. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, Utah.
