1989 ~ 2012
Phillip David Montague lost his battle with drug addiction on September 17, 2012. We are so grateful for the years we had with Phil and for his influence in our lives. He loved his family and he loved his friends. Our hearts are aching but we find comfort in knowing he is free from the drugs that bound him and that he is now at peace and surrounded in love.
As a small child, Phil was imaginative and loving. He loved cub scouts, cousins and the many neighborhood friends he fought and played with. Phillip played the standup bass and bass guitar. He also was a talented lyricist
He loved the computer and would log his mother into DOS when he was barely 4 years old because she didn't know how. Phillip was absolutely brilliant when it came to technology. He was an avid computer "geek" and loved building computers. He loved online computer gaming and would max out levels in record time. He loved business and won several regional and state competitions in Decca. He loved selling and was highly competent in as much as he was always ranked as a top performer. Phillips friends referred to him as charismatic and funny with a heart of gold.
Phil loved his 7 year old nephew, Ethan and spent time playing with him when he could. Ethan was like the little brother he always wanted.
Phillip is survived by his father, David R Montague of Spanish Fork, Utah, his mother, Marian Allan ( Paul) Knight of Arlington, Washington, his sisters, Danielle Montague of Spanish Fork, Utah, Arianne (Troy) Benson of South Jordan, Utah, his nephew Ethan, His Grandparents, Collin and Peggy Allan of Mapleton, Utah and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
