Phil J Curtis, age 78, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend returned to our Heavenly Father and loved ones on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Phil was born September 8, 1939 in Springville, Utah to Jack and Klea Curtis. He married Connie Mendenhall on March 22, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple.
Phil’s greatest joy in life was his family. He adored every one of his 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Sunday evening get togethers with the extended family were his favorite. He was a patient, quiet man, but a gentle giant when it came to his testimony and love for our Savior. Phil devotedly served in many church callings. He made many friends throughout his employment years, including his time at Nebo School District where he made numerous friendships that he cherished.
He is survived by his loving wife Connie Mendenhall Curtis, his children Tammy (Scott) Howell, Scott (Tammy) Curtis, Kari (Mark) Gillies, Marci (Jerry) Orton, Troy Curtis, Brady (Kristina) Curtis, and his 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Klea Curtis, and his daughter Jammie Fraughton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday April 16, 2018 at the LDS chapel located at 200 N 900 E, Springville.
