1924~2013

Our Beloved mother, grand & great grandmother Phebe Wood Pinder passed away Tuesday, July 2, in Logan, Utah.

She was born in Fielding Utah Feb. 8, 1924 to Jonathan David Wood and Phebe Gleason. She was the youngest of 9 children.

She attended Bear River High School where she met her sweetheart Craig Leslie Pinder. They were married July 8, 1941 in the Logan Temple. After 62 years of marriage, Craig passed away on August 22, 2003. They lived most of their married life in Young Ward where they raised many things on their farm, including 5 kids. She thoroughly loved music which in turn blessed many lives. She also loved making candy, especially chocolates. We all have very fond memories of her yummy chocolates.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and has held many positions in the church. She will be remembered by many because of her leading the singing in just her special way.

She leaves behind her children, Annette Ashliman, (Larry, decease) Mendon, Janice Zollinger (Richard) Millville, Kristine Batty (Wayne) Laketown , Dixene Souter(Kent) Young Ward, Curt Pinder (Cheryl) Young Ward, and 24 grand and 61 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters. Special thanks to all those who made her life such a joy especially her many special friends at Williamsburg Retirement Center. A special thanks to those from AFI Hospice.

There will be a viewing held Sunday, July 7, 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Young Ward Church, 2394 W 2200 S, Young Ward. Monday, July 8 there will be a viewing at 9:30 to 10:30 am, with the funeral at 11:00, also in the Young Ward Church. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery.
