Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend slipped from this mortal life on February 26, 2009. Peggy, 65 lived a full and wonderful life. She will be greatly missed by her wonderful husband, Karl Gene Wiscombe whom for the last 10 years has stood by her side, with undying love and devotion as she battled with the relentless disease Dementia. Her children Karl F. (Sherry) Wiscombe, Christine (Pieter) Wouden, and Linda (Chuck) Bowles , 12 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren will miss her love and smiles. We love you Mom and Grandma and know that you are gardening with the angels.
Peggy did not start out in this life alone, she brought with her a twin sister, Patsy, She was born to Margaret Blanch Chapple and Frank Herbert Gabbitas, they were happy to have two little girls after they had only boys in their home, Rex and Joe Gabbitas.
Peggy started her career as a Pharmacy Tech working for Ivan's drug in Provo after 5 years she moved to Art City Pharmacy in Springville where she was known as "Super Scooper". 30 years later she decided she had enough and went home to enjoy retirement. She and her sweetheart hit the open roads on the Honda Gold Wing for some years until Mom became ill and could not continue, in true form her sweetheart sold the bike and stayed by her side.
Peggy, served her Lord and Savior as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, She held many positions and loved serving in the church.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, who welcomed her to paradise with open arms.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2008 at the Wheeler Mortuary 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah 6-8 p.m. A viewing will also be held from 10:00-11:00 a. m. prior to the funeral at the Springville 9th ward Chapel 55 North Main Springville, Utah.
