Pauline Ruth Schmidt

Polly Schmidt, 82, of Springville, Utah passed away November 26, 2008, in Payson, Utah. Born May 21, 1926 in Reading, Pennsylvania, Polly was the youngest surviving child of Harry Gehret and Sallie Yoh. She married George Schmidt August 2, 1947 in Rochester, New York.



Polly and George joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 7th, 1979. On April 30th 1980 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Washington, D.C. Temple. George and Polly moved to Springville, Utah in 1983.



Polly was known for her baking and cooking abilities and often spent hours in the kitchen making treats for others. Up until her death she worked as a cashier at Cracker Barrel in Springville.



Polly is survived by her loving husband George Schmidt and their six sons; Edward, David, Christopher, Douglas, Raymond and Andrew; 17 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.



Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Kolob 5th Ward, 1230 S. 500 East, Springville. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville or Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
