Paul Leslie Wright, 65, passed away December 18, 2010, at his home in Mapleton, Utah. He was born January 28, 1945, in Williston, North Dakota, to Chester E. and Mary Dix Wright. Paul served honorably in the military for over twenty years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and subsequent operations in Laos. After his retirement from the military he worked as an operator of large equipment in heavy construction. Paul will be remembered for his kind heart and his infectious laugh. He loved being around people, enjoyed attending family gatherings, and liked caring for his cats. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Paul is survived by his adopted daughter, Tracy Chambers, one sister, Judy Miller (Gerald), and two brothers, Philip Wright (Paula) and Stephen Wright (Sherri). He was married twice and divorced. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dix Wright.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mapleton 18th Ward, located at 475 North 1600 West (Highway 89 on the west side of road), Mapleton, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, with military rites by the American Legion.
